1. About these terms

CitySpot (the “App”) is published by Cityspot (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 15 years old, or have your parent or guardian's permission. You can explore the App without an account. To save favorites and preferences you create one with your email and a password. Keep your login private and give us accurate information.

3. Using the App

• Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

• Do not use it for anything illegal, try to access it without authorization, upload malicious code, copy or resell its content, or disturb other users.

• Stay aware of your surroundings while you walk and listen, and respect traffic rules and the opening hours and rules of the places you visit.

4. Content and intellectual property

The App, its name, texts, audio, images and design are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use them within the App. The landmarks and places featured belong to their respective owners. You keep ownership of anything you send us (such as feedback), and you allow us to use it to operate and improve the App.

5. Accuracy of information

We do our best to keep tours, descriptions and practical details accurate and up to date, but they may change and we cannot guarantee them.

6. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

The App may link to third-party websites or services, such as the App Store or Google Play. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Changes and termination

We may change or discontinue the App, and we may update these Terms. We will tell you about important changes; continuing to use the App means you accept them. We may suspend your account if you break these Terms, and you can delete your account at any time in the App settings.

9. Warranty and liability

To the extent the law allows, the App is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your mandatory consumer rights.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protections of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. If a provision is found unenforceable, the others remain in effect. For any question, use the contact form on cityspotapp.com.

Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Cityspot (“we”, “us”) publishes the CitySpot mobile app (the “App”) and the website cityspotapp.com. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time through the contact form on cityspotapp.com.

2. What we collect

• Data you give us: email address, name, password (stored encrypted), language, favorite places and preferred categories.

• Data collected automatically: device model and operating system, IP address, connection times, and how you use the App, including the places you visit.

• Data collected only with your permission: your location (to show what is around you) and push notifications. You can turn either off at any time in your device settings.

3. Why we use it

We use your data to run your account and the App (contract), to personalize recommendations and send notifications you have enabled (your consent), to keep the App secure and improve it (our legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations. We only send marketing messages if you have agreed, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, analytics, customer support) and with authorities when the law requires it or to protect our rights and prevent fraud.

5. Storage and security

Your data is hosted on secure servers operated by Scaleway. We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it. If data is ever transferred outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we must keep some of it to comply with the law. Contact details and messages you send us through the contact form are kept for 1 year, then deleted.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to the use of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing. To exercise your rights, use the contact form on cityspotapp.com or delete your account in the App settings. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.

8. Children

The App is not intended for children under 15. We do not knowingly collect their data and will delete it if we learn we have.

9. Website

The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox by the FormSubmit service and are used only to reply to you. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version, and we will tell you about important changes in the App or by email.
